Biography

   He has devoted himself to violin making since 1987 in Kazanlak, the town that is a center of the fine art of violin making in Bulgaria from the begining of the 20th century.

   In 1991 he went to Cremona, Italy, where he attended the International Violin Making School "Antonio Stradivari" earned and his Diploma in 1995 under the guidance of Master W. Zambelli.

   The basic principles and techniques of the classical violin making Andrian found during his stay in Cremona, the cradle of violin making, and also thanks to his contact with Master M. Nolli and M. Negroni.

   Back to his home town he opened his own workshop where he makes fine artistic professional violins, violas and cellos implementing the classical Cremonese technology of building and varnishing. Inspired by the greatest Italian Masters such as Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri, he also creates personal models.

I was impressed by the sound projection and the warm color of the Andrian Andreev violins. I was happy to record my first CD with one of his instruments model Guarneri with warm baroque sound. I have played four times as soloist and chamber music in the 22 International Festival of Music - January, 12 - 29, 2000, Brasilia, Brazil with his instrument model Stradivari. With the same instrument I won an international open audition for the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra  - January, 9, 2000, Brasilia, Brazil.     Of of the "Stauffer" prizes will go to the Bulgarian Andrian Andreev who during the laboratory classes of violin making under the guidance of Master W. Zambelli, made a copy of Niccolo Amati - 1656 violin built for the French Royal Court. Most probably the original was made for the Kind Sun and because of this is known as "King Louis XIV". Using 1:1 pictures of the original Andreev gave life to his replica imitating even the restoration interventions on the original.
